Price Cuts For Shields Ferry Commuters

Following the rise in train fares last week, Shields Ferry has pleased commuters by reducing fares for 2016 on the service which runs from North Shields to South Shields.

The new commuter fares, approved by the North East Combined Authority, will see commuters save up to £6 a month with one-week season tickets reduced to £10.50, and four-week tickets down from £43.80 to £36.80.

A single fare on the Ferry is down 10p to £1.50 while a ‘carnet’ book of ten single tickets is down from £12.80 to £12.  The price of a Daysaver rises 10p from £2.60 to £2.70.
