Grab Your Order At A Metro Station

Amazon is always looking for new ways to help make your online shopping better, and with the invention of the Amazon Locker this is deffinately part of the plan and these have proven very popular across the world.

Now they have come to the Tyne and Wear Metro which is home to a new set of Amazon lockers, giving passengers the chance to collect their online purchases when they pass through stations.

Amazon Lockers have been installed at five key stations on the Metro system, including Monument in Newcastle city centre, Four Lane Ends Interchange in North Tyneside, Gateshead  Heworth Interchanges, and Park Lane in Sunderland.

The process is so quick and simple, when you checkout your purchases on Amazon and go to select a delivery address, if your items are able to be delivered to one, the option for your nearest Amazon locker will show up. When the item is delivered, you will be sent an email with a pickup code, simply type this on the screen and the door for your item will open. When I last used one, it took less than 30 seconds to pickup my item but on screen instructions and the email from Amazon will help you out.
