Angel Of The North Tops National Express Survey

A survey by National Express has named the Angel of the North as the most loved, roadside landmark.

The famous angel thats dorned the region's A1 motorway and passed by many a National Express coach in it's time, has just turned 18 and In a survey of 1,000 people the Sir Anthony Gormley sculpture, which has sometimes divided opinion, placed miles ahead of other landmarks including the Forth Bridge, scoring well over a quarter of the votes.
