Changes To Some Go North East Services

From the 4th September, Go North East are making some changes to the following routes...

Service 88/88A (South Tyne): The service will no longer use Inverness Road in Brockley Whins, instead the service will operate direct along Edinburgh Road and Perth Avenue. Any passengers from Inverness Road are able to continue to use service 88/88A from Perth Avenue, or catch Stagecoach service 18 and change buses. There will some small changes to the times of the service to reflect this amended route.

Service V7 & V8 (Venture): New Venture services V7 and V8 to Metrocentre have proved popular since being introduced in October 2015. Therefore, Go North East are adding some extra journeys in the service to make it easier for you to travel. These journeys are: Monday-Friday service V8 from Stanley at 0652 will now run all the way to Metrocentre. A new journey will be added on service V8 departing Metrocentre at 1755 for Stanley. There will also be some changes to the times of the services to improve reliability.

Services X21 & X46 (Castles Express): Due to changes in travel arrangements by Bishop Auckland College, the X21 will no longer serve Bishop Auckland College, with all journeys now terminating at Bishop Auckland Bus Station. The journey on service X21 at 0757 from Durham to Bishop Auckland, and service X46 at 0724 from Crook to Durham will now operate all weekdays (excluding public holidays). There are no other changes to the timetable.

Service Q3 (Quaylink): With the opening of new roads in Great Park, the route of service Q3 in Great Park will be amended from 4th September. The service will operate a one-way loop, operating from Brunton Lane bridge via Sir Bobby Robson Way, Park and Ride site, Waggonway Drive and Roseden Way back to Brunton Lane Bridge. This will improve access to local facilities and for residents living around Roseden Way. There will be a small change to the times of journeys departing Great Park. There is no change to the rest of the timetable.
