Changes To Arriva In Teesside & East Cleveland

Details of revisions to services within Teesside & East Cleveland, effective from Sunday 19th February 2017.

From the above date, the aforementioned services will see changes to routes and/or timetables.

Service X3/X3A - Middlesbrough to Redcar & Lingdale/Skelton ASDA

Due to timetable changes on related services in the East Cleveland area, the timetable will be revised, which will see most journeys retimed to run around 5 minutes later than now.

Service X4 - Middlesbrough to Redcar, Loftus & Whitby

Due to timetable changes on related services in the East Cleveland area, the timetable will be revised, which will see most journeys retimed to run around 5 minutes later than now.

Also, following on from feedback received by customers in a recent consultation survey, we are introducing a new 20:07 departure from Whitby back to Redcar & Middlesbrough on Monday to Saturday evenings.

Service 5/5A/805 - Middlesbrough to Guisborough, Skelton & Loftus

Due to low passenger usage and demand, Service 5A will be curtailed in Skelton from the 19 February and will no longer serve Skelton ASDA or Brotton. The revised terminus will be a clockwise loop of Hollybush Estate in Skelton, with buses returning back to Middlesbrough up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes.

Alternative options to Skelton ASDA and Brotton will continue to exist in form of Service X3A and Service 5.

Service 5 will be unchanged in route and frequency and will continue to operate up to every 30 minutes as it does now.

Service 5 and 5A will continue to offer an up to every 15 minute frequency between Skelton High Street, Guisborough and Middlesbrough, along with the enhanced frequency in Monday to Friday peak times.

Service 805 (Swans Corner to Brambles Farm schooldays) will see a small timetable revision.

Service 7/7A - Stockton to Yarm

We’re making some timetable changes on Saturday afternoon journeys along with Monday to Saturday early evenings.

Service 9 - Middlesbrough to Overfields

Monday to Friday journeys from Overfields to Middlesbrough will operate a few minutes earlier throughout, aligning the Monday to Friday timetable with the Saturday timetable.

Service 17/17A/X17 - Middlesbrough to Stockton/Ingleby Barwick & Yarm

Following a consultation event last summer, we’re making a revision to the route of Service 17 within Ingleby Barwick. The route changes only affect journeys that terminate at Ingleby Barwick however.

Each hour, journeys that only operate as far as Ingleby Barwick will be revised to run to a clockwise loop of the estates, resulting in the introduction of an all-day service from Beckfields to Middlesbrough, along with opening up options for local journeys within Ingleby Barwick by utilising the opposite loops performed by Service 17 and existing Service 15.

Buses will operate via Beckfields Avenue to Sober Hall, returning via their normal route of Broom Hill, Tesco and Lowfields. Passengers can stay on the bus to reach their destination.

Service 17 and X17 journeys that operate to/from Yarm will operate to an unchanged route, observing Lowfields in both directions.

Service X22 - Middlesbrough to Sedgefield, Trimdon & Peterlee

There will be some additional morning and afternoon peak journeys between Stockton and North Tees Hospital on Monday to Fridays.

Service 27/27A - Middlesbrough to Netherfields

There will be some small timetable changes throughout the day, however journeys will still operate to existing frequencies.

On evenings (generally post 18:00), Service 27 journeys will be re-routed to operate via Cineworld on Marton Road instead of past the University to offer evening links from East Middlesbrough to the cinema and restaurants in the area.

Service 28/28A - Middlesbrough to Lingdale/Stokesley

On Saturday mornings, the 07:00 Service 28 from Middlesbrough to Lingdale will be curtailed at Nunthorpe at 07:32. Also, the 07:06 journey from Lingdale to Middlesbrough will instead start from Nunthorpe at 07:40.

Service 29/29A - Middlesbrough to Marton/Nunthorpe

The route of Service 29A will be revised to operate via The Avenue (Middlesbrough Theatre) and Emerson Avenue instead of Eastbourne Road and The Vale. There will be no change to timetables.

Service 62/62A - Middlesbrough to Redcar & New Marske

Following feedback received from passengers, we’re introducing an earlier journey between Dormanstown, Gordon Road and Middlesbrough on Sunday mornings, running at the same minutes past the hour, arriving into Middlesbrough at 0932.

Service 63 - Middlesbrough to Eston & Redcar

The 1831 journey from Redcar Morrisons to Middlesbrough on Monday to Saturdays will be revised to operate marginally earlier from Lakes Estate onwards, arriving into Middlesbrough five minutes earlier than now, at 1928.

Service 64/64A - Middlesbrough to Grangetown/Ings Farm

Following feedback received from passengers, we’re introducing an earlier journey between Grangetown and Middlesbrough on Sunday mornings, running at the same minutes past the hour, arriving into Middlesbrough at 0948.

The 05:12 Service 64 from Redcar, arriving into Middlesbrough for 06:00, is revised to operate 5 minutes earlier throughout, to ensure connections in Middlesbrough to other local services.

Service S1/S2 - Stockton/Middlesbrough to Teesside Park

There are some small changes to timetables for both services. They will continue to operate Saturdays only at this time. Service S2 will additionally be revised to depart from Stand 19 in Middlesbrough.
