French Air Traffic Strike Tomorrow

French Air Traffic Control have confirmed they will strike from tomorrow, 6th March 2017 until 10th March 2017.

The industrial action starting on Monday involves members of a small union, ICNA, working at air-traffic control centres in Bordeaux, Brest and Aix-en-Provence. They have a range of issues over roster patterms & pay.

The affects of this strike won't only affect flights going to/from France, all UK flights heading South can be affected as flights flying over France will also be affected.

Plans are already in place to re-route many flights away from France, but changing flight plans puts extra pressure on busy areas such as southern England, the eastern Atlantic and northern Spain, increasing flight times and causing delays.

Passengers are advised to check with their airlines website or smartphone app for the latest on their flight.
