Go North East Service Changes From 27th October
Go North East are making changes to some routes from this Sunday 27th October 2019 as follows...
Coaster 1, 1A & 1B: Some journeys on a weekday morning will be retimed between Newcastle and Metrocentre. Services 1A and 1B towards Metrocentre now depart from stand A at Gateshead Interchange. Service 1 towards Wrekenton and journeys towards Whitley Bay are unchanged.
Saltwell Park 53 & 54: There will be minor changes to the timetable of this service. Service 53 now departs from stand B at Gateshead Interchange.
Loop 93 & 94: To better match frequency with the number of passengers travelling, this service will be revised to run every 20 minutes. Buses will continue to run between Gateshead and Team Valley up to every 10 minutes at peak times. Go North East have been informed that the weight limit on Stoneygate Lane bridge is going to be changed soon, meaning buses will no longer be able to use this bridge. Therefore services 93 and 94 will no longer be able to serve Sunderland Road near Mareburn Crescent, Stoneygate Lane or the Industrial area on Abbotsford Road. Buses will instead run direct along Felling bypass to and from Heworth Interchange. This also means service 94A via Friars Goose will no longer be able to run and will run as a standard service 94. Service 93 will now depart from stand C at Gateshead Interchange. Service 94 will now depart from stand A at Gateshead Interchange.
Green Arrow 97: Early Saturday morning journeys are retimed by up to seven minutes to provide better spacing between buses on Bensham Bank.
Quaylink Q1: Journeys from Gateshead towards Central Station will now depart from stand C in Gateshead Interchange. The service towards Deckham will continue to run from stand E unchanged. There is no change to the timetable of this service.
X9 & X10: These services will now depart from stand 19 in Middlesbrough Bus Station. There is no change to the timetable of this service Monday-Saturday, but the timetable on a Sunday will be revised to improve reliability.
