Go North East Launches 4 Special Summer Services

Go North East have launched 4 special Summer services to help boost UK staycations this year.

The return of the open top ToonTour sightseeing service sees the colourful open top buses return to Newcastle and Gateshead. The service will run every 30 minutes from around 10:00 until 17:00, with buses starting from Central Station in Newcastle and then serving stops on a circular route which takes in some of the finest sights around the area. Service runs weekends & public holidays betwen 17th April & 30th May and 2nd October till 31st October; increasing to run daily between 31st May until 1st October.

Hadrian's Wall bus service AD122 is back for the Summer taking people to explore the Roman heritage of Hadrian's Wall. Running everyday between 12th April and 31st October before running weekends only from 6th November until 19th December, and also weekends only between 19th February and 3rd April 2022.

Go North East will also be introducing a new direct service to Beamish Museum from Newcastle, Gateshead and Chester-le-Street, making it even easier to get to the world-famous open-air museum. The service, B1, will run on weekends, bank holidays and during school holidays from 17th April.

Another exciting new service is starting, the X11 offering day trips to Whitby and Scarborough. The new route serves Newcastle, Gateshead, Heworth, Washington Galleries, Peterlee, Billingham, Middlesbrough, Whitby and Scarborough. It will operate on weekends, bank holidays and school holidays only from 17th April until 30th May, then daily from 31st May until 3rd September, before returning to weekends only from 4th September until 31st October.
